We are back!! *

Juniors Doughnuts and Dogs first opened in the summer of 2002, created as a way to give our three young children summer jobs—and maybe teach them a little about hard work along the way. What started as a small family venture quickly became something much more special.

For 15 summers, Juniors baked and served over 85,000 doughnuts each season from our little bayside shop in beautiful Margate City, New Jersey. Every doughnut was made fresh daily—from Memorial Day through Labor Day—in our kitchen overlooking the stunning Margate Bayfront.

In 2015, we sold Juniors as our kids grew up and moved on to make their own dough (pun intended). While life took them in different directions, Margate—the beach, the sunsets, and the memories—has always been home.

Over the past 10 years, though, we felt something was missing… “Summer Donut Memories”.

So, in February of this year, we found the perfect spot—a former residence with great character and an even better location—and decided it was time to come back.

Welcome to Sonny’s House of Donuts.

We’ve held onto our original recipe all these years, and we’re excited to once again share what we truly believe are the best-tasting donuts you’ll find anywhere.

This time, we’re keeping things simple and focused:

  • Fresh donuts

  • Coffee and tea

  • Fresh orange juice

  • Sonnymin Buns

No hot dogs. No ice cream. No French fries. Just a special product—made a little bigger than before—and crafted to bring back the flavors you remember and love.

“They” say you can never go home—but we’re here to prove them wrong.

We’re working as hard and as fast as we can to get our doors open. Stay tuned for updates on our opening day—we can’t wait to welcome you back.
